Christina then proceeded to bring out her debut single "Genie in a bottle" which stayed top of the "Billboard Hot 100" for five weeks. The image seen in this video for this star was still squeaky clean, girl next door teenager, her image was extremely important at this stage of Christina’s career as loads of girl globally were looking up to her, parents where more than happy for their young daughters to look up to this good role model performer.
As Christina Aguilera’s artistry continues successfully she is described to be somewhat of a chameleon with her star image, ranging from her Marilyn Monroe style blonde bombshell look, to her dreadlocked bohemian child look. She is forever seen as an ever changing artist which is believed to be her secret to constantly being “Current” the likes of Rihanna and Madonna are both seen as these ever changing artists. Therefore their fans are always waiting to see what image they are going to portray next.

“What a girl wants” – Pop Princess, Colour and slightly tighter clothes were added to her look.
“Dirrty” – Christina Aguilera is now renamed “Xtina” this is her extremely edgy side, where her clothes were described as “Soft porn” and her dance style was censored in some countries. This look Aguilera inherited was a hit with both girls and boys liking this raunchier side of her.
“Beautiful” - This is Christina Aguilera’s “Freedom look” she was making a statement to the world about what is accepted in society and how she felt about it, her dreadlocks stayed but she was a lot more child friendly dressed and her music was coming from a different angle.
“Cant Hold us down”- Christina Aguilera turns ghetto, making music with the likes of Nelly and Lil Kim, Aguilera’s inner rough Ecuadorian flare was shown thoroughly throw this look.
“Fighter” - This was the time in which Christina was edgy but not in a raunchy or sexed up manner but was seen in a gothic light in which black was her popular colour of clothing.
“Candyman” - Christina is at her Marilyn Monroe bombshell stage in which even her music took a 1950 spin.
“Bionic” - This is Christina Aguilera’s final change, not seen as popular in the charts. Many people feel that it was a style of music and image that didn’t suit her, the robot type feminist look was not fitting for the star.
